• Crib/Cot - Somewhere for baby to sleep 
• Carseat for the journey home and beyond (Hospitals generally won't let you leave without one)
• Pram - when shopping for a pram think about, who will be pushing the pram majority of the time, what's your budget, where will it be stored when not using it. 
• Changing Bag - There's plenty of choice for changing bags but essentially you need something with compartments to make your life easier.
• Carrier - not an essential but it's definitely up there
