Free health screening at The Baby Show, stand D31
Visitors to The Baby Show at the NEC this May are being invited to a free health screening at the stand of Yorkshire eyecare specialist, The Body Doctor Ltd to help protect their baby’s vision before they even open their eyes.
During the screening, the advanced technology LifeMeter will accurately and painlessly measure the concentration of carotenoid nutrients from a visitor's fingertip in less than a minute, with no skin pricks.
A mothers carotenoid intake is directly linked to the baby’s macular pigment level and is transferred via the placenta. The macula is responsible for 90% of our vision and gives us all our sharp detailed and coloured central vision.
The presence of these nutrients in the skin is a key indicator of someone’s wellbeing. Those with a low carotenoid level have been shown to have a higher frequency of eye strain and fatigue, trouble driving at night, poor contrast sensitivity and slower visual and cognitive processing, plus an increased chance of sunburn and brain fog.
Everyone screened at the event from May 10 – May 12 at the NEC, will receive expert advice and, if required, a recommended personal treatment plan to support their well-being and baby’s development.
Three carotenoids, lutein, meso-zeaxanthin and zeaxanthin have been discovered in the macula at the back of the eye and in the brain. Food supplements with the right levels of these carotenoids can enhance quality of life and The Body Doctor Ltd recently became the UK distributor for the innovative MacuPrime and ReMind supplements.
MacuPrime is the only eye supplement backed by over 15 clinical trials. ReMind is a first of its kind supplement scientifically formulated to support normal brain function, which has been shown to have positive effects on the quality of life of Alzheimer’s patients.
The LifeMeter uses the most advanced technology to measure carotenoid levels, with its accuracy scientifically proven in over 30 peer-reviewed studies.
“We’re excited to be able to offer a LifeMeter to The Baby Show visitors as there are only 12 in the whole world,” said The Body Doctor Ltd’s Sales and Marketing Director, Sam Wymer.
“We hope the show visitors will join us on stand D31 for an exclusive day’s clinic to understand their carotenoid level and enhance their life,” he concluded.
We’ve got 10 pairs* tickets up for grabs! The first 10 people use code “EX-BODYDOC” can claim 2 complimentary tickets (worth £52) to the show. *T&Cs apply.
