Kente Kids Joins Expecting Parents and Families at the London Baby Show 2023

Kente Kids, a parent and baby brand that blends Ghanaian heritage, functionality, and fun to produce culturally authentic bibs, dummy clips, breastfeeding covers, and more, is excited to join expecting parents, families, and a host of brands at The Baby Show 2023 - hosted at Olympia London.

Founded by close sisters and business partners Rachel and Genevieve, Kente Kids was inspired by their simultaneous pregnancy journeys and their desire to wrap their little girls in the artwork and patterns of their home country of Ghana. Kente is known for its electric mix of colors, woven messages of cultural significance and vibrant shapes—all exciting patterns for little ones to admire!

Handmade with Love, Sustainable by Nature

Kente Kids is committed to sustainability, and sources materials from Ghana, ensuring off-cuts are used to produce additional product pieces. 

Rachel, co-founder of Kente Kids, and mother to Renée and Rashaé, spoke to why the handmade nature of the brand is so important: 
“As a Ghanaian, I know the importance of reducing waste — in our household nothing was left unused! Sustainability is at the heart of the Kente Kids philosophy. We do our part, by using our off-cuts to make new products. From our scrunchies, to our drawstring bag loops. We could all do a little better for this environment, so let’s start where we can.”
For the sisters, Kente Kids is more than just a business. It's a way to celebrate their culture and heritage, and to give back to their community.
