MAM launches new wearable breast pump for mums on the move
For over 45 years, leading baby brand, MAM has been creating advanced, unique baby products that make the lives of babies and parents easier and more enjoyable.
Testament to this ongoing commitment is the upcoming launch of the small but mighty NEW MAM Move Wearable Breast Pump.
Due to hit Boots on 6th February, the NEW MAM Move Wearable Breast Pump (£199.99) waves goodbye to awkward breast pumping and tubes on show. Now, multi-tasking, breast-feeding mums can get more freedom to feed on the go thanks to this new product’s peaceful, discreet milk expression technology.
Stand-out, special features
MAM’s Research and Development team always sets out to overcome common challenges, wants and needs of both parent and baby with every new innovation - and this new product launch has undergone the same scrutiny.
The new MAM Move Wearable Breast Pump boasts four unique features destined to be loved by breast-feeding women:
- Comfortable and wearable – thanks to its sleek, modern and discreet design, the pump fits easily inside every bra with no tubes or wires on show and allows for hands-free movement. The breast pump also comes with a bra strap extender for maximum comfort and a carry bag to enable pumping on the go
- Adaptable for every mum – MAM recognises one size does not fit all, so each breast pump includes three comfortable and flexible funnel inserts in varying sizes (15mm, 17mm and 21mm), which can be inserted into the 24mm soft silicone funnel for maximum comfort.
- Silent Mode Function – this clever addition enables extra peaceful pumping due to an adjusted, more quiet rhythm.
- Expression and Stimulation mode features – these modes address a real need from mums who want efficient expression. The ‘stimulation mode’ perfectly mimics baby’s natural sucking behaviour and stimulates the milk flow. The ‘expression mode’ meanwhile enables efficient expression, with the MAM Move Wearable Breast Pump being able to collect up to 150ml (5 oz).
Safety remains paramount
Paramount for the MAM R&D team was to create a wearable breast pump product that was easy to sterilise and safe for baby throughout use.
The Move Wearable Breast Pump milk collector incorporates a clever self-sterilising function. By simply adding water to the base and popping it in the microwave for 3 minutes, parents can ensure the product is germ and bacteria free.
Lisa Parkhill, Managing Director for MAM UK says: “At MAM, every product innovation we launch is born out of customer research. The desire for parents to have a sense of freedom and flexibility while caring for their baby is a common trend we see at a global level and the launch of our new Wearable Breast Pump addresses this ask head on.
“MAM Baby products are market leaders in many countries around the world and we are fortunate to have ‘best in class’ R&D teams at our disposal. I truly believe they have created a unique, stand out product that our customers will love and will enable the category to thrive.”
The MAM Move Wearable Breast Pump comes with an Easy Start Anti-Colic bottle (160ml/5.5oz) allowing for an easy switch between breast and bottle. The bottle features clever product design and high-quality features such as the well-loved MAM SkinSoft™ Silicone teat that is accepted by 94% of babies and a vented base to allow for a smooth flow designed to reduce colic. The bottle also comes with a unique self-sterilising function.

Notes to editors
About MAM: A global brand from Austria with 45 years of expertise: Founded in 1976 by Austrian plastics engineer Peter Röhrig, MAM Baby has been creating innovative and unique baby products like soothers & baby bottles that make life easier and more enjoyable for babies & parents.
Röhrig’s unique insight was the idea of creating baby products that combined attractive, exclusive design with proven medical benefits. In the mid-1970s, the choice was one or the other. Röhrig committed his then young company to providing both and the results were quick in coming.
MAM sold its first soother in 1976 and today – more than 45 years later - is firmly established as the world’s leading authority on the design of baby products. In addition to soothers and baby bottles, MAM’s product portfolio has evolved over the years to include related accessories and breastfeeding products as well as cups, specialist teething and oral care products.
MAM worldwide: As an Austrian brand with production plants in Hungary and Thailand, MAM currently employs over 900 people & sells more than 100 million products annually in 60 countries, spread across all five continents. The company is the market leader for soothers in the USA & much of Europe, including the Scandinavian countries, UK, France and Austria, as well as in Brazil and Israel.
